Stability AI’s Emad Mostaque talks about generative movies (among other things).

Most shows and movies are garbage. Absolute pablum. And yet I want to be entertained. Soon, AI will produce exactly the entertainment that it most perfect for me. Eventually, it will produce what is most perfect for me right now.

Tired and can’t handle depth? Things are gonna explode. Trying to impress someone? Things are gonna get deep.

Grease:

Dominate TikTok. Short clips are easier than long-form. Fill the channel with your AI generated crap before everyone else does. Pick a niche, own the niche through sheer volume. Pick every niche. Force ByteDance to shut your scammy ass down.
Adaptive ads. Yup, it’s time to hack humans. Already some companies playing here, but you can either use them or create your own version. Everybody needs more ads.
High-quality headcanon. Batteries in the Matrix were stupid (shoulda been chips). Fix that and all your other favorite movies! Sequels and prequels that don't suck!
Porn. Get to work.

OpenAI gets (more) corporate

The scumbag geniuses at OpenAI continue to behave like an absolutely ordinary company while hiding behind the non-profit cloak. Safe AI? The only thing safe are their profits.

ChatGPT Plus. Want to actually use ChatGPT rather than get a service unavailable message? Time to pay.

Want to be protected from the haze of bullshit coming out of ChatGPT? They’d be glad to clean up the problem they created (countdown until they start charging…).

Your death is my hustle

Is nothing sacred? We hope not because we aren’t rich yet and ethics are for poor people. Everyone loves a good obituary and now AI does too.
